This is the pic of the door. I did adjust the door in all the way at lower hindge and it still sticks out.

I used a block of wood and hammered it in. Worked for me.

Is the door flush with the rocker at that corner? Looking at the picture it looks like the door lines up with the rocker, it may be an illusion though. I am wondering if the problem may be the quarter is pushed in at the bottom corner.

Looks like you need to first get the door flush with the rear of the rocker. Install the latch and jamb pin and adjust . Once this is done, the front of the door will fall inside of the rocker's line. From here, you need to adjust the hinges at the front so that the door is pushed out as far as possible to again line up with the rocker. If it is already adjusted all the way out, you will need to slot the holes on the hinges to allow more travel, and /or shim the hinges at the front in order to get the front of the door flush with the rocker. My guess is it is not adjusted out yet.

The front of the door lines up perfect with the rocker. I posted other pics of that. There is no way I can adjust the front in. This door was dented bad near the door handle/bodyline before I had it skinned. Should I just bend the door?

I'm not suggesting moving the front in. What I said is to make the rear fit first. Loosen all of the bolts, then get the rear of the door to close flush. This should pull the front in somewhat,so it will not fit fine at the front as it does now. At that point, you would need to adjust the front of the door outward in order to line up again.

So you think if I install the latch and striker, try and adjust the rear in first? Wont that just push the top out on the front? Please excuse me but I am new to this bodywork thing.

No, it should not, unless the hinges are really loose of course. If you pull the door in, the entire panel moves in slightly. More at the back of course. Give it a try...you will see what I mean. Some of the best fun in the world is in adjusting doors! :)

I have the same problem with one of my doors. Its like the door needs to be twisted. I am going to try your tip!

I found out through lots of trial and error too. (Mostly error!) The hinges not only more forward and backward, but the doors can move in and out at the top and bottom (where they bolt to the doors) quite a bit. The door can actually be "rocked" into position many times. With enough shims, slotting of hinges, and an occasional wood block, just about any door can be made to fit well.

I would suggest a different door, as you stated that this door was damaged and then it was skinned. In one of the pictures it shows the door from the rear of the car. The skin is not installed flush to the door frame, or at minimum the edge is not folded over correctly. I would try starting with something that is in better condition. as with such a simple item being off, there could easily be many others that would applify the basic problems. Good luck with your decision.

Skin may have twisted the shell as they are flimsy without it. I second Bell Air Bob's recomendation of messing around with hinges. Looks like the front of door is correct. If it is out too much more at the a pillar the glass will not seal. The door skin should be about 1/4 inch inside the a pillar piece. Some cases like this I have bent and shimmed hinges, and or removed skin to align the shell with the door jam.
