I just replaced my dash panel in my 69. I don't know what kind of primer they use on these panels but it probably ain't very good. I think I will sand and prime with PPG DPLF 90 for sure where the windshield seals. Should I do the whole thing with the epoxy and then paint? What color would be close to original that can be bought at the local store. I thought about Krylon semi-flat.
Any thoughts on the matter?
Thanks,
Guy

I'd take it to metal and DP the whole thing. Your right about using flat up there. You can spray can it or buy black two part paint and put a bunch of flattening agent in it.

I mistakenly had the entire dash painted with one paint, and then learned that the top of the dash and rear window reveal was different from the dash face. So, last week I went to the paint store to get the correct paint. The correct paint has a flattener, a texturizer, and .......are you ready..... blue-green tint.

Cost me $50.00 for a quart, but I decided to do it right, while I still have the windshield adn back glass out of the car.
