You can buy new ones from 300.00. If budget is of concern you can take your chances with a 130.00 rebuilt compressor. Rebuilt compressors have a tendency to leak and or not operate as well as they should. Check with NAPA, Autozone, checkers etc. they can get what you need.

Al,

Check with Auto Air in OKC. They are at 300 S. Miller and their phone # is 405-235-2351.

I bought my big block A/C condenser from them (it seemed like it was the last one in existence!) and they are great people to deal with...at least in my experience with them.

When I was there they had some rebuilt originals on the shelf.

Thanks. Yea, I did not want to get one from Autozone, etc. I worked at an auto parts store and it seemed 3 out of 10 were good.

Classic Auto Air in Tampa, Florida does outstanding compressor rebuild work; in any A-6 compressor rebuild situation, be sure they use the GM ceramic shaft seal, not the cheap carbon seal.

Wish I could find a home for an A-6 compressor that needs rebuilding :( I have been tripping over it for a while.

4 choices - pulley and clutch will be included.
a) NOS GM Delco $450
b) Original Delco Aire -- factory rebuild - $300 --- (I recommend this choice - just like NOS)
c) used-- pulled from a working system - $200
d) rebuildable core - $100

** if needed - I have all the brackets, bolts, clips too. :)
Everything is guaranteed.
