Are all U 69 jack bases the same? I have a jack from a 69 GTO the base says U69 on it, is this the same as the camaro base?

Earlier discussions point to the bases not all having the U69 stamped in them. I remember this from several years ago. You may find it searching.

I suspect a GTO U69 is the same as camaro, However all U69 are not created equal. I bought a U69 base and mast that were off a riviera or something. It is larger, and the hole for the mast is larger, too. The mast has an extra piece of metal welded to it to make it fit the hole. Gary is right, not all Camaro bases had the U69 on them.

I bought this complete jack from a GTO. Correctly dated rivet on the jack, which is exactly the same as any correct camaro jack I've seen. The mast has the correct Pat. number on it. The only thing I found funny about the base was above the U69 stamp there is a hole about 3/4" in diameter, never seen that before.

I think the correct length for a the Camaro mast is 32.5". Doesn't the GTO mechanism have a hook stamped in it to fit into a slot in the bumper?
