hey guys I was wondering about goinf to a manual tranny I currently have a th350 but with just upgrading my rear end to a 4.11 rear it kinda sucks driving with the th350 and I have always wanted to go to a manual so just wondering for any suggestions about any less expensive swpas or trannys that can handle pretty good power and be all right thanks for any input.

I tossed the TH350/2.73s in my '68 for a Muncie and 3.23s. No regrets. It's not a tire burner, but it's pretty quick and reasonable in the highway.

Over the years, I've gone from a powerglide to a muncie to a TKO500.

The TKO is absolutely the best, talk about having your cake and eating it too!

and I totally agree, if you get a used t56, it will be cheaper than getting a tko
