Gary L Oct 27th, 07, 03:42 PM Welcome to TC. Yes the earlier tail housings tend to have the speedo on the driver side. First gen Camaros have it on the passenger side. Take a look here. http://www.5speeds.com/casting.html JimM Oct 27th, 07, 04:06 PM most g body's had them on the drivers side, too, as did corvette's. Worth noting, if you're doing a conversion, and using an aftermarket hurst shifter, the drivers side speedo will hook right up to your existing automatic trans cable. Chilli Oct 27th, 07, 04:13 PM 1968 camaro convertible currently has a 3 speed saganaw ( I think) the speedo cable comes in from the drivers side. The muncie I just picked up has the speedo gear on the passenger side. Will the cable reach the new location? crashent Oct 27th, 07, 04:38 PM Corvette Muncie's had the passenger side speedo tail housing as soon as it was availiable(mid 1965) and never went back...
