Or can I just bolt them thing on. I have a 350 motor snake Jul 14th, 00, 02:36 AM ok install the bolts and working from the center outward tighten the bolts to 20 lbs - ft besure to lay a good bead of silicone at all 4 courners hope this helps.Double check the bolts more then twice. 67drake Jul 14th, 00, 05:06 AM Agree, but I would also ditch the two rubber end seals.Use a good 1/4" bead of silicone instead. The rubber end seals move out of position when putting the intake on,and are usually the first thing to leak. ------------------ 67 RS RAGTOP # matching 4X4 Chevy truck 4X4 Suburban gheatly Jul 14th, 00, 05:17 AM You torque the bolts from the inside out in a spiral pattern like this: 9 5 1 4 8 12 10 6 2 3 7 11 Retorque all of the bolts at least twice. I not only used the 1/4" bead on the front and back but I also coated the port gaskets. In addition I put some silicone on the bolt threads. No problems with leaks since then. Mark |
