OK so I hate the "Pinto" look of the 67 coupe grill and even worse I would hate to have people call my car a cheap clone if I put on an RS grill (previous owner already put an SS gas cap which must go). Does anyone know of any aftermarket grills for 67? I am not looking do to a resto on this car obviously so even something you might consider outlandish looking might interest me.

Thanks Guys

Use a 68 grill if you really hate the 67 grill.

Summit has some "new style" grill material. You could make your own.

Does a 68 grill fit a 67? I have seen some Billet grills for 68s like this one http://www.chevylandparts.com/Billet_Accessories/billet_accessories.htm

I guess the'68 does fit the '67, since they use the same mounting brackets. Mine's a '67 Z22, and what I don't like about the standard grille is that it's flush with the body (fenders). That look will persist if you use the billet grille.

I really like the way it looks if the hole was just black like in this pic http://thehoovers.com/liam/camaro/camaro_trailer1.jpg. So someting more like an RS grill with the hide-away headlights but not the RS look. Maybe I will just create one with a flat black fabric/mesh and use some RS setups but create me own covers.

Calpantera is that a PermaStar intake? the whole engine looks really good!
I like your idea, please post pics if you decide to go ahead with it.

Calpantera I was thinking the same thing about the grill but could not find one for 67.Even though about having mine crome but when they told me 300-to 500 hundred I laugh as I drop the phone so I just brought a brand new one have not fit it yet but getting close. Not sure if that 68 grill will fit the 67 I would think that they would say 67-68 but they dont.

The previous owner purchasaed a new 67 grill with the "pinto" marker lights in it already. I think I am going to try and create a new grill with a blacked out look. I think initially I will make the headlight covers snap into place as I do not want to install an RS system if I don't like the black out look.

If you have a Classic Industries (download one if you don't) look at parts KW101 and 40992. They might be what you're looking for. They're for a '68 though...
