B ldrisner Nov 7th, 07, 03:04 PM Andy Rooney was talking about the Real Estate slow down and made the comment that Homeowners could sell thier homes tomorrow if they lowered the price enough. Home owners don't want to hear that, but it is true. The same principal exist in Restoration. The shops keep cars so long because they bid them too low to get the job then end up trying to work on it when times are slow. Go into any shop and tell them you want a bid to paint your car with built in penalties if it takes longer than promised and you will get REALISTIC bids. Most Classic owners, however, don't want realistic bids. They want "competitive" bids. Unfortunately that is want causes delays to happen. Not enough money. Sorry for the blunt truth, but there it is. |
