nearest the firewall on the wiper motor, there is a connector with two terminals in it. One terminal has two yellow wires, and the other has one light blue wire. I cant remember which way it goes, with the yellow wires on top or on bottom.

I searched the archive and found a picture link that didnt work:sad:

Light blue at the bottom. The other two wires above it on my car are black with a yellow tracer. This shot might help you too.

yes, thanks for the quick reply and pic. That helps a little bit but Im still confused about getting this right. My fault, I re-wrapped all my harnesses and made the mistake of thinking I'd remember where stuff went:o
On the wiper motor:
I have the single dark blue connector going to the single prong. That has to be correct lol. I have the two yellow wires on the nearby double connector on top with its lone light blue wire on bottom. On the connector that has the special rs wires on it that sticks out near the plug wire holder I have the single yellow wire at the bottom and single blue on top on that connector with the rs wire connecting to the solonoid from the yellow wire terminal going to the top of the soloniod connector prong and the other one on the bottom prong from the blue wire. All my wires are nice and clean but its kind of hard to know for sure which goes where !

I found a note on how mine was in a plastic bag, but my washers werent working and had no hoses anyhow.

using your pic I had 2 yellow wires to #3 terminal, one light blue wire to #2 and single dark blue to #1
on #4 I had a yellow and #5 a blue
on the solonoid wire I had 4 going to 7 and 5 going to 6

I still dont really know how to put these back correctly! This has me wondering about some of my other "original" wiring lol. I really cant trust how I took these off. On the bright side, all my wires seem original and cleaned up really nicely

Lordy Rob, I was getting dizzy. Bob to the rescue!
Oh, since 1974 I thought my wipers were in need of some attention, as in; not working worth a damn. I've only used them a couple times when caught in a shower going to a car show. Well, last month, just before the end of the race season, the sky opened up. I left the stagging lanes and bee-lined it for home. I needed the wipers for about two miles. They worked perfectly. As good as ever. And the wiper blades are 35 years old. Not a single streak. Just like new. Is that weird or what?!

without a wiring diagram this isnt easy. I cant trust the way it came off either.
On the pump connector:
I think i'll take the terminals out of the connector and reverse them so that with the yellow wire on top and blue on bottom the solonoid terminals face the drivers side. As it is now, i am guessing its wrong because the solonoid terminals faced the pass side ( with yellow on top terminal) This is all pretty confusing but my simple goal is to wire it correctly. This is just a guess from the pics and diagrams but , the blue wires always go on the bottom and the yellow on top? For the solonoid wires, they can go either way because its just a switch maybe?

on p.177 of the 69 AIM they have a diagram including the wiper motor. It looks to me that they have the yellow wire going from the top terminal near the firewall and crossing over to the the bottom terminal of the two washer pump prongs. If someone has a working washer system, could you see if their washer wire connector ( not wiper connector, that I know has two yellow on top) has the yellow wire on top or bottom of the two prongs coming out? I cant go by my own notes because it may have been wired wrong.

The butt connector happened in another lifetime. It goes to power the TH400 kickdown.

Except for the connector, these wires and their plugs have never been removed from their terminals.
