: Another '67 window stop quest

I have been asking around trying to find a set of door window stops for a '67 Camaro and have had zero luck. My car did not have them installed when I tore it down and I can probably continue without them but now it has turned into more of a challenge than a definite need. I managed to find a few posts from people with a similar problem. I guess I'll take the easy road first and see if anyone knows of a possible source for these jewels. I've checked most of the more common sources used and mentioned throughout this board. My back-up plan, "Plan B", which is rapidly becoming my new "Plan A" which is to fabricate my own brackets.... if I could get someone to provide a few key dimensions.
So there it is.... 1) anyone know of a source (other than Ebay, Classic Industries, Rick's, etc) or 2) is someone at a point in their build that they could provide a few dimensions so that I (and possibly others in the future) can fab their own. If I go the fab route, I'll try to post pics of my final product and let you know how I went about it with my limited tools and ability. Thanks in advance.

i didnt have any in my doors either. i bought 2 doors used for mine they dont have any in there either. i did a 68 recently tho. it had them in it. i looked and dont see them in any book that i have.but in 67 with the wing window when you roll up window it hits in the front on top of wing and will stop it.i dont have no problems with my windows even if they belong in there.now the back 2 windows i know they have them in there tho.maybe someone with a original car will chime in on this.

you might email this guy, he handles quite a few first gen firebirds, so he might have some window stops available
hereitis67- 67's (at least birds do have stops on the front and rear windows)

I would appreciate the dimensions of the front window stop for a 67 Camaro if anyone has them. I believe I have found a picture of it in a 2006 Ricks catalog (part no. WR-60) it appears look like the rear stop with a "tab" cut into it. I am guessing that this tab keeps it aligned vertically in the adjustment slot at the base of the window.

I have one original rear window stop and have fabricated a second one - so if you want to provide relative dimensions that would be fine.

What I need most importantly are the dimensions for the width of the piece and the height/width of the "tab" as well as the distance of the "tab" from the center of the bolt hole. With this information, I believe I can fabricate a reasonable replacement.

Then again... If anyone has a couple of extras to sell.... I would be happy to take them off of your hands.

Thanks,

JJ

GM sports likely has a set for you JJ. Gotta head down to San Jose though.

Get an extra set for Franken. Bring your endwrench and a plastic bag.

Glass and doors are behind the main shop.
