Well, tonight I got my first chance to take the Camaro down the 1/4 mile. It's unseasonably warm here so I wasn't expecting any great numbers from the car. After much speculation as to what it'd actually run, it was finally my turn to approach the line. The first run had quite a bit of wheel spin/hop, but I managed to rip off a 18.569 @ 73.79. Once both the car and the ambient temperature cooled down a bit, it was time to make pass #2. A blazing 18.462 @ 73.99 this time, still with some spin/hop though.
All in all, I'm not disappointed. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif :beers:

It's always fun to run at the track. Are you going to build up the six to see what you can get the et's down to?

Shhhhh, don't anybody tell him to fix that wheel hop to make his car an unbeatable bracket racer.

Wheel hop with a 6? It's gotta be a manual transmission. The hop must last all of .2 seconds.

I KNOW the 6 and Powerglide that came out of mine wouldn't break 20.

The car needs a few other things first so I haven't decided what to do in that department yet. I'll probably just work on my technique with it for a while (never raced a manual before).

Yep, 3 speed. If I revved it up and dumped the clutch, that one wheel would be screaming. :D
