A gentleman came by my house the other day to look at my 69 camaro, i had listed in the local paper, and had an 81 z28 he wanted to trade me on it. Im not particularly interested in the car but i told him i would see what it would be worth and we'd go from there. I dont have any pics but heres a rundown. It is purple, with matching z wheels. Blue interior, decent shape, but lets face it purple on blue is well, purple on blue. 400 small block, 350 TH, 10 bolt. Car runs fine, not a beast but smooth. The big problem is the rust. The paint is decent but from the front of the rear wheels to the tailpanel is very rough. As with most of these cars, but this one will need full frame rails, inner tail panel, and probably a trunk, but it might be salvagable. My son thinks its cool, (bumblebee fan). I dont plan on keeping the car, so as it sets what would be the realistic value to move it? Thanks

I just sold a 1981 Z28 for $1000 that was rusty but ran. They don't bring alot of $$. Ed

I bought an 80Z in 2002 for $1200. The car is mostly all original but is rusty. It's been sitting since I bought it and I am in the middle of an engine swap now. The engine was fried when I bought it. If the engine didn't have issues, the guy I bought it from could have probably gotten between $2-2500. I agree these cars are starting to bring more money now.

Post some pics for better idea of the condition of the car.
