Greeting from Toronto Canada. Recently picked up a 69 Camaro Convertible (couldn't believe I got a convertible!) and I've been reading everything possible since. The car has been in Canada all it's life so I'm hoping I can get as much info on it as possible.

Have been in love with the 69 Camaro since I could walk. It was my fathers first car and we have had two in the family and have always been looking for one. This one happened to basically fall in my lap. It's not a maching number car (has a 350 in it right now) but all the major work is done. I'd like to get the badges on the car (will be an SS 350) as well as get the interior redone.

Love spending time on the car but have some questions as most newbies have. I've never owned a convertible and the back window is foggy as hell. Any suggestions on fixing that? I looked into getting a new roof off of eBay and they are not that expensive.

Also, I recently picked up some belts (front seats don't have any) and would love any help on installing these things. I got the bolts but now will have to cut into the new carpet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A new top will include a new rear window. Have a professional shop do it, Its a bear to do at home for the first timers.

Use an awl to find the hole and a soldering iron to make the hole. :)

Welcome to TC!

Thanks for the tips Kevin. I do need the car to be drivable so I can get some minor repairs before it's put into storage for the winter. Is there anything that can clear up a really foggy vinyl window?

Meguires clear plastic polish can help, but not cure, your cloudy window.

Not really. Cleaning it might help, but the back windows get cloudy from UV and the plastic gets etched. You have to replace it.

Oh yea, when you start getting it pretty, paint the grill surround body color like it was from the factory.
