Hey Folks, First of all, I'm under the impression the first gens built in California were not undercoated, but the ones in Norwood were. Is this correct? If so, does anyone have a photo of the factory undercoating pattern?

I know there was one on here at one point, because I remember seeing it. I've done searches for every combination of words I can think of, and still can't find it. I've about got the bottom of my car ready for paint/undercoat, and would like to put the "factory undercoating pattern" on the bottom if there is such a thing. It's a '68 by the way if that matters. Thanks in advance, Brian

These photos are of the underbody my 69. It is a Norwood built SS 350. I don't know if these will help but here ya go.

Good Luck!

As I can't attach a pic to this post I e-mailed you the pattern.

Nope, neither plant undercoated the underbody at all. The only "undercoating" was a rough-textured sound-deadening material sprayed in the front and rear wheel wells to kill the noise from stones thrown off the tires. Any material other than that was added by a dealer or an undercoating shop.
