hello my problem is this the head lites seam to have a mind of there own. a couple of times they have flipped up on there own. also when i close them the left side manual closer spins wildly and when it bottoms out it sounds like a loud fluddering banging kind of noise. today when i went to unlock it i hit the button the lights came on ? its a 2000 trans am with 14000 miles.

Your control module under the dash, under the steering colume has a short in it, when this happens its like the doors have no limit switch which is the job of the module. The control module is very easy to find in a junk yard never seen one missing from a car, mostly over looked. When you go looking for the replacement part remember there are two types one had a rather large pulg the other a smaller plug. The smaller pulg is for a trigger activation from a ground the larger is for a pos trigger get the right one or you can smoke the entire harness.GM cost is right at 125.00

ok i found the module i cant say for any other year models but on the 2000 its under the hood drivers side front right next to the fuse block. no luck finding one in bone yard even tried nation wide locator company. two local dealers one was $230 the other $270 plus tax. called pace $177 plus shipping
