View Full Version : 67 RS Value?
BelAirBob Nov 15th, 07, 09:35 AM Hi guys.
Considering a 67 RS car. Real RS, 327/210 with PG. Original driveline, but needs full floor, quarters (probably 80% versions), and center trunk pan.
Runs and drives, but probably needs a once over on the brakes, etc. to make sure she's roadworthy. Original color is Capri Cream/blk vinyl top with blk std and interior with original 67' console.
Again, all, there,but needs restored.
What d'yall think?

Ill give it a shot! From my perspective I would say $6,000-$9,000 depending on how it looks.
any pictures?

Thanks! I can buy it for $5600, but want to see it up close first. Maybe $5k?

I'd be all over it for that. Try to swindle him down a touch (around $5K) but I wouldn't hesitate for that price.
I sold a plane jane 68' in similar condition this summer and it brought almost $7K
Good luck and post some pics if you get any

BelAirBob Nov 15th, 07, 02:51 PM Well guys, took a look. No pics, but what was described as a car needing quarters, trunk pan and floor really needs:
Doors
Rockers
Entire front Clip, including inner fenders- Even the hood is rusted through!
Upper cowl- assume the dash as well. ( Its paper-thin around the trim tag)
Rear deck filler
trunk lid
full floor
full quarters
outer wheelhouses
Basically, every piece of metal except the roof, which is odd since it was a vinyl top car. Total rust bucket. It does have the original 327/210 and glide, no PS. Drum brakes. Pretty plain jane 67 RS.
After looking at it, its one step up from a roller because of the original 327. My guess? $2500-$3000.

Yeah, yeah, I know you are correct..... Just have a soft spot for the 67 RS cars. Was really my very first Camaro... Where WAS I on that one... huh? :):):)
thorpe67RS Nov 15th, 07, 09:37 PM Being a 67RS its gonna drive the value thru the roof. :D
BelAirBob Nov 16th, 07, 06:06 AM Yeah, because it looked as though it had already gone through the floor!, and the cowl, and the trunk! :):):)

Not to make this more or less appealing. This description reminds me of a car I looked at not so long ago.
67 rs/ss vert.. Needs everything you listed here and more. Guy was only asking $18k for it:noway:. But when it was evident it wasn't an rs or ss, it was time for me to leave.
BTW- I had another guy go look at this car I am talking about. Apparently, the seller was trying to list the car on e-bay. And was trying to sell it as it "shows" not what it is. The listing was removed by e-bay, and I can only imagine it was from the very helpful and knowledgable people on this site that helped keep someone from being screwed (real bad) buying that car.
