hello, i recently picked up a 1989 rs convertible

i have been reading the forums and have come across alot of useful information

i am currently fighting with the gas tank removal and could use any tips on how to get it out

i also have noticed there is a lack of duel exhaust systems for 3rd gen camaros and was wondering id they just dont fit?

i am also looking for a convertible top for my car so if anybody knows of anywhere i can get one at a low price that info would be appreciated.

thanks and hope to hear from ya'll

Gas tank? should be fairly straight forward. Two straps along the bottom need to be undone, then unhook the wiring for the pump and gauge.
I have learned cutting a spot out of the trunk makes it alot less of a PITA for pump and/or gas gauge maintenance....

There are some complete systems out there. Mine is ALL flowmaster....

on the 82-92 models the gas tank us up above the axle, you have to jack the body up, drop the axle down about a foot and remove the entire exhaust system. i have the gas tank all free but the filler neck keeps it from coming out :(

there are some screws in the neck. ? I lifted the back of the car til the axle and the car were separated enough for me to yank the tank. My exh was already off gettin welded together....
If you want new exh anyway cut it out and start all over...?

i was just asking about the exhaust because i want a duel but if they dont sell them then i will just keep the one that is on the car, there is nothing wrong with it.

there are no screws in the neck on mine, i can feely move the tank around its just giving me trouble manoovering it out of the car

im sure i'll figure it out this weekend... lol
