this will be my 1st classic... ive had some good help along the way, but am looking for all the input i can get... i figured i would go with a done car for my 1st and just enjoy it with the wife on nice weekends... and next time maybe a SMALL project... here are a couple of links to pics and description of the one im looking at (actually found it on here!):

all opinions and comments will be appreciated! just in-case the 1st link doesnt work... the underneath of the car is like he says, just as nice as the top: he painted the underneath of the car garnett red (of course with the exception of the frame, suspension, rear end,etc...)
here's the vin# if it helps anything: 124379n694209

thanks,
scott

When you get to that price range, it's a car you have to look at and find more specifics about to better tell the story. Is it an original RS? What kind of "new springs" Front and rear? Am console gauges or OER? etc, etc...

It looks like a beauty, no doubt. There's just not enough info for me. Approaching 30K for a non-RS/SS, SS, or RS is pushing the limit. You also need to factor in if this is an investment for you...or a keeper etc... If you're buying just because you love the car and it has all the options you want...go for it if it seems to be the best price for what you've been comparing to. Beside "originals", a car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

you're right... i guess its worth whatever im willing to pay... and it is what ive been looking for, for quit some time now... i had someone look at it for me and was told it was an extremely nice driver, and even a nice show car...? i do like the fact that he took the time to make sure everything worked before selling. he did alot of little stuff that many people dont take care of.. re: the rs headlight that work great!, nice detail under the hood, he took time and spent the extra money to make sure the tranny converted right (most of the time when switching to a 700 you have to get extra clips...etc... to make it shift correctly!)... anyways, thanks for the comment, and i fully agree, long as me and the wifey are happy!

Whatever you decide Im sure you will be happy. Even if you find something wrong who wouldnt be willing to make it right for such a cool car? I would do just about anything for my car.

Ive been trying to figure out how I can sleep comfortably in my car. Now that Ive gotten all the pigeons and spiders out :D

I would have them bury me in it. But Ive seen what happens when you bury a car.
