Unreal Jan 18th, 02, 11:25 AM On the subject of painting dashes. On a 69, should the VIN be painted the dash color, or should it be masked off, and left bare? cavemate Jan 18th, 02, 04:46 PM The VIN tag is actually flat black no matter what the interior color. I had a 68 with an Ivy Gold interior and the VIN plate was flat black..69 may be different, but I wouldn't think so. Gary chevyboy68 Jan 19th, 02, 09:46 AM i've done it. it just takes VERY careful masking. if you get any overspray on the windshield in that area it's impossible to get off because it's too tight of an area. you might want to remove the windshield jblake Jan 20th, 02, 01:40 AM thanks for the input guys...i decided i will do this correct and pull the windshield |
