A friend of mine has an original endura bumper that he wants to sell. What would be a good price? It's in perfect condition he is replacing it with a chrome one. Thanks

When you say original and perfect the price could go as high as 2 grand. Many think they have an original and it isn't or they do have an original and under the paint the material is full of spider cracks and past repairs. In the second case, at most a couple hundred bucks.

My friend Andy B from NJ just sold one to someone for I believe $750.00.Came off a real 69 Z/28 that he took the nose off and is a Pro Street car now.

I think a good bumper with minor separation is probably worth $500-600. Add another $300-400 for good original brackets. I think $2k is on the high side, for all but NOS.

36j is right, paint can hide a lot of sins. I bought a primered one for $250 7-8 years ago. Turned out to be pretty crappy underneath. After I uncovered the flaws, I traded it and $400 to a guy for a pristine one. (Yes, he knew it had flaws, but planned to repair it.)
It had outer brackets on it, that we couldn't remove (or, more correctly were afraid to twist too hard) He took a pair of repop outers in exchange. I found original innner brackets on eBay for about $250.

The repop inners are junk, and need major rework, so be sure to get the originals in the deal.

BTW, I think the cost of the Endura is greater than the value it adds to a car, so if profit is the motive, I suspect you would be disappointed.

However, I think they are pretty cool. Mine's a standard grille, and I like the look, but I think they look especially nice on an RS front.

Wonder if someone will step up and do a decent repop on the endura bumper? Wonder what the manufacturing process is and what the rubber material really is?

I believe it's urethane and they are reproduced....but can't speak to how decent they are.

The part that baffles me is that it's been known for 8-10 years that the inner brackets are not even close, but they still sell them. Ricks makes a disclaimer "needs rework" on theirs. Why can't they just rework the tooling?

Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to get the frame correct.

I have not had the chance the remove the bumper yet but it looks to be original and it is perfect. Already painted black so hopefully someone with a black car might be interested. It will be next week before I get to it and when I do I will post it here in the classifieds. Thanks

Oh, you're selling? In that case it's worth $150 with brackets!! :)
