I recently purchased a 68 RS/SS. On the trim tag the paint code is ---. Upon disassembling the front end I have discovered the original color. It appears to match the color Midnight Teal Metallic under the 68 paint codes. However it does not show this as a factory color for the Camaro.Does anyone know where to find any good pictures of the color Midnight Teal Metallic to put my 68 RS/SS back to its original color.

Camaro white book does not show a Midnight Teal Blue Met but then when you go to www.camaros.net/years/68/68paint.html (http://www.camaros.net/years/68/68paint.html) and look at the 68 Camaro Paint Chart and codes it shows it as B along with a color chip. Not sure on which i owuld go with. you might try Austin, he seems to be the man when it comes to Paint and Numbers>

From what I understand with the -- it could be any GM color, but I'm not sure. I don't have a midnight teal listed in my book for '68. My book does list a "Island Teal Poly" and a "Teal Blue Poly", but my book is Chevrolet only, I would have to look up the other '68 GM colors at work. I can give you PPG #'s for any of the ones above. The nice thing about the paint delete is you can change color without the tag being wrong.
