Anybody have any thoughts on how to find a repair shop to fix a power top?
A joint in the frame broke and I am having a problem with one of the rams. I have been messing with it too long and just want it fixed before it gets cold in Dallas.
Tried Yahoo! without success. Needs to be in the Dallas area.

hopefully you didnt bend up anything......
is it a real power top frame?
its not a manual top frame with power equipment on it is it? this will be a bad thing....

The top is a real power top. It worked fine until one of the cylinder's went bad. I replaced the cylinder, but can't seem to get the new one to work correctly.
The problem with the fram is one of the sissor hinges broke. Kinda like a bolt. I really do not want to take the frame off the car because it is so difficult to put back on. Also, they vinyl top is fairly new, so I do not want to pull it off the frame either.
I am hoping to find a local place here in Dallas. Somewhere that knows what they are doing.

Give Floyd a call at Firewheel Classics in Wylie, TX, (basically the same as Plano, TX if you don’t happen to know). They’ve been in the Camaro business for years & probably can help you out one way or another. He’s a good “people person.” Their number is listed in the forums here all the time. They are one of this site’s sponsors. He can probably recommend a “fix it guy.”
