I just got a '96 Camaro with the 3.8 V6 and a five speed. The car has problems, and I'm probably going to be making it a drag car, just for having some fun. I figure I'll leave the engine alone, for reliability. How do I pare down the electrical harness to keep the MPFI, yet get rid of everything extraneous (like the dash stuff, ignition anti-theft system, etc.?

You're gonna need a manual with diagrams. It's all very intertwined.

V6 and a 5-speed in a 4th gen? Slow, boring, and inconsistant... not exactly a great drag car IMO.
