I looked at a 67 327 PG RS convertible. When I first saw it, I thought it had been burned. The shell was completely stripped, one quarter panel removed and the other mostly sawed off (lots of warping). I was told it had been sandblasted someone else. This must of been years ago by the rust. Saw the seats lying about, an engine block that is debatable that .060 bore would clean up the rust although there were the small heads and intake lying there . The headlight doors off, a box with a new grille, new inner fenders and core support and , I think, the original hood completed the remains for a front clip. He is asking 6 grand. Oh yeah, the front sub frame was off and it was sitting on the floor. Don't know if that affect the integrity of the shell since it's a convertible.
Any wild azz guesses?

Oh man .. who knows .. the only plus I read there was the box with the new Grille !

Get some pics.. and that will be worth many posts with different price ranges.

My brother-in-law's 67 RS has a different pattern on his seats, the white is much smaller and his is oringinal. His was a barn find w/o an engine that I drool over.

$6K? IDK. IMO, you'd be putting at least 3X that much in it (probably much more depending on your skill level) for it to be a driver. Remember though, a car is only worth what you're willing to pay for it.

IMHO I think you can get a more complete car for that price. I wouldn't give more than 3K for that example. Good Luck, let us kno what you decide.

I agree....6K is at least double what the car is actually worth. Whenever I see a bunch of hokey stuff with a car my attitdue changes pretty quick. The seat covers look like a 9 year old did them.....maybe the same 9 y/o sand blasted the car and left it bare?

If you do buy it just make sure, since this thing is all apart, that the VINs match up and all that. Very easy for someone to doctor up a car like this.

I will just add......

Check to make sure the subframe is the right one if you buy the project......I just bought a '68 project where the front end was off the car and I noticed right away that the SF that came with the car was from a front steer car-

I didn't know what to offer for it or how to remove that substantial surface rust the correct way. I didn't know if that was a # correct engine either. Difficult to believe that someone didn't protect anything from rust.
