I am planning on trying the BRPhotrods.com LS1 brake kit for my 69 Camaro as it uses the 98-02 Camaro disc brakes. I am not sure how big the front and rear rotors are for the 98-02 Camaros and I wonder what size rims I will have to run...my guess is at least 17 inchers.

On their website they say it will work with stock drum or disc brake spindles and that no fabrication is required.

My car is 4wheel drum and I will have to replace everything anyway so I figure why not upgrade to better stuff.

Does anyone know of any other supplier that offers a similar kit?

The rotors for the LS1 camaro's are 12''. Some 16's wheels will work and 17's on up.

Yeah, I read the part about "no fab is required" also, so I bought them. What a joke. All they did on the fronts is weld a washer at the bottom of the bracket to off set the top boss. Then he wants you to install a "custom" washer in the inner side of the hub between the bearing and the seal. Great idea.whatever.
I could not get them to work. They would not allow the calliper to ride evenly between the abutment bracket. On both driver and pass side they rubbed the abudment. They needed to move over about 1/8" to function properly.

I'll take it you know about machining the top boss down?? Well Brp gets around this by moving the whole bracket out .125'' (the extension length of the top boss).Hence the 1/8th washer welded at the bottom of the bracket. Then a .032 thick washer is jammed in the hub to make up the (.125'')difference. SURE!!
And the rear mystery bracket is nothing more than a 3/16 spacer to bring out the calliper/ebrake mounting bracket.
Then he wants you to use the staggerd calliper set up or use his shock relocation bracketrey.
I sent the everything back to him (including the "shade tree", front steering rack "joke in a box")(that's another story) and got my cash back!!
Funny thing is he said they worked great on a car in his shop.

I didn't like the looks of the BRP stuff so I made my own including rear spacers with an integral parking brake setup. I've been bolting everything up over the last two days. I'll try to post some pictures this week.
