we had real nice weather today hear in southern oregon so i pulled the 68 out and did a quick wash and dry to her down the road and back up my drive way and felt some weird thumping in the rear end so i check it out and found the rite side front leef spring spit the bushing out and was sliding side to side on the bushing.my question is the bushings press in or can i just beat the old one out and lube the new one and slip it in?now i need to do leef springs and sub frame bushing wow i better get busy.thx guys clayton:sad:

I believe the front eye bushing is pressed in. You might be able to air chisel it out. I think some guys burn them out. The rear ones are easier to remove.

Hardest part about this is that probably the 6 front spring eye mount bolts clip-nuts will probably spin and break and you will have to use a 4.5" angle grinder to cut their heads off!!

Read this sticky that is up top to come up to speed on this install!

And do this safely b/c if your car come's down on you, it can KILL you!!

If you are replacing the rear springs I think that most springs come with the front eye bushings installed. But I'm not positive.
