Periods are your friend :).

But seriously......First, I'd think a 750 dbl pumper is too much for a 350...even if it's built. Secondly, it sounds like your secondary float might be cracked or stuck, and that's why fuel was spilling out over the top of the bowl and through the gasket. Take the back bowl off the carb and check it out thoroughly like, holding it up to the light to see if you can see gas inside the float. If it's full, it'll be easy to see or "feel" it. If there's only a little (like 1/8" or so) it'll be harder to detect, but it'll still be enough to cause the float not to operate properly and cause the symptoms you're having. Based on what you've said, I'd bet on a cracked/leaking/malfunctioning float. You can get a new float at your local parts store, but they may have to order it (usually overnight deal).

kevin is rite.thats to much carb for a 350.you mite have something under the needle in the carb making it flood.take it off check the floats make sure the floats are shutting the fuel off.i check this by turning carb upside down while blowing thru fuel line.upside down air should not flow thru.rite side up the the air should flow:thumbsup:
