We own what I consider a nice 69' Camaro and currently have it on this site for sale. It is a low mileage, RS/SS 396 car with A/C.
My question is do we have any idea how many of these cars were produced. I've been told that there was roughly 5,000 SS Big Blocks produced. Supposedly around 1,000 of those came with factory air conditioning. I have NOT been able to track down how many of these SS Big Blocks w/AC came with the RS package..??

Any ideas??

The reason I'd like to know is so I can respond to the offers I have on my car with a little more confidence. If this car is considered to be fairly rare and with it's condition and mileage, I may hold out for our asking price. If it's truely not really rare and not really considered desireable, I may look at the offers a little more seriously.

Thanks...Jack

GM never kept records of multiple option combinations, so theres no way to tell exactly how rare, or not your combination it. There was roughly 14000 big blocks made, or roughly 6 percent of all Camaros made during the 69 model year. About 15% of all Camaros were RS's, and 20% of all Camaros had A/C. You can work the percentages, but the result will be nothing more than a wild guess. If its numbers matching and in good condition I would say its probably worth at least 40K, more for an L34, L78 and alot more for an L89.

Couldn't be an L78 or L89 with factory A/C

Wasn't this car listed on ebay recently? I think there was a thread about it on this board somewhere? Nice looking car.
