I have an older vintage air unit that I installed in 1998. I am not very happy with it to say the least. It seems like every thing that I am reading people can not say enough good things about them so I am wondering if they have gotten a lot better. Here are some of the major issues I have with my system: The fan is mounted under the dash instead of the factory spot and is very noisy when I have it set to high. There are only two fan speeds low and high, and high doesn't blow near as hard as the factory unit did. The temperature control is about worthless, I have never quite figured out how to change the temperature except full cold and full hot. I have to disconnect the vacuum hose on the hot water valve to get the thing to blow cold. The temperature control can not be set up to use the factory lever. And last but not least there is no fresh air option since it gets its air from under dash, always recirc.

I am wondering if I should buy one of the gen IV's to fix all these problems or would I still have all these issues.

No taker's huh? Come on guys, there has to be someone out there with the new vintage air system!
