Guys
I am about to start replaceing a couple of the bad body panels on my car.What are the best tools for the cutting out,triming,and fitting in ?

A die grinder, which can be bought for 10-75 dollars depending on where you buy it and what quality you get, and a spot weld cutter bit. An 8" grinder is also nice.

Somebody had a post about this same subject a while back and there was a great reply. The guy ( sorry can't remember whom ) said he " Jesse James " it off. I think the point was he didn't care to be too meticulious about it, where it didn't matter. I agree. I've used the air powered cut off ( 4 inch ) and a jig saw or sawz-all with metal cutting blades, where I could. I would cut off most of the panel and then " creep up " to the attach points once I could see them with the grinder and a little persuasion with a cold chisel. Worked for me. Careful with the grinder, it can heat up material quick and warp what's left , if you care.
