I have the column out of the 68 Camaro I'm building (can't remember if it is a tilt or not, I'll have to check tonight) and also have another column shift auto column that came with the car. I am on a tight schedule with the car, so I am hoping to find somewhere I can buy a rebuilt factory tilt column. I figure I can sell the two I've got and get close to the cost of a new one, so that is my only real option right now.

I would use the Ididit column, but someone said something about the factory one being collapsable and the Ididit not, so I really want a factory one for safety sake.

I know Rick's has them, but I don't think they are tilt columns.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I bought my rebuilt tilt column from Rick's. They first one they send me assembled improperly and unsafe to use, and I would have had to completely gut it to fix it. I sent it back, and then waited 2 mos for them to get more in stock. The replacement was also assembled improperly (in the same place no less), but it wasn't as bad and is usable until I get around to tearing it apart or replacing it with an Ididit.

I went with the stock rebuilt over Ididit for the same reason--because the stock unit is collapsible. I'm not sure I'd make the same choice again...
