for that kind of money, you would think they would get some original type rear leaf springs?

The T/As never did much in the Trans- Am series they were named for.
So better than a Z car. I would not want the automatic trans.
Looks like a nice car - but I'll stick with a Z-28.

That was due to engine durability snags. They ran a destroked 400, destroked to 303 cubic inches.

I mean, they are cool looking cars. But 500,000? Even when prices were up in stratosphere, I don't think they were up that high. I have seen some nice ones in the 100,000 range, and some driver quality cars have gone for in the 80's recently.
I have not seen one of the 8 TA converts for sale, I wonder what they would be worth on the market?

I think that its the code name for the resto...an after the fact code name at that....although the link below says that is the Delorean name for the project...seems an unlikely project name.
Found this also....quite an appreciation curve from $115K to $500K in less than 2 years...

I' would still accept one.
Someday, a John Moss signed '95 Impala SS might be worth a penny or two.

But 500,000?
IMO, they are truly not interested in selling the car. They are testing the waters. For $500,000 they better fix that back bumber.

Canadians could run the DZ302 engine in T/A Birds as Pontiac's came with a Chevy drive BBC 454's with a TH400 and 12 Bolt Posi. People South of the Boarder drooled over Cdn Chiefs - like the 68 StratoChief 2 Dr Sedan 427 Rat :o))
