Hey Guys Need Some Help ,i Have A 69 Camaro W/ Rusted Out Cowl Shoulders I Already Removed Them , But The Car Is A Drag Car And Driven On The Street Very Little, Im Wondering If I Should Even Put A New Set Of Cowl Shoulders Back On , Once The Fenders And Inner Fender Wells Are On The Veh, You Cant Even Tell They Are Missing, Is There Any Purpose For Them , Do I Really Need To Install New Ones , It Would Also Save A Little Wieght Off Of The Car For Racing Purpose.but Is There Going To Be Any Air Pockets That Might Slow Veh. If you want heat or air conditioning, or don't want engine fumes in the car then you need the outer skins, at least the passenger side one. I beleive they are actally called "elephant ears"

my 67 drag car is without them, but also sealed off where they were to keep fumes, etc. out. nothing negative to note from me on it and it runs 9s. so i would say up to you.
