This might be a little bit on the simple side... but I'd like to get this right the first time hopefully... My car is finally getting to the finished state and the only exterior part i have remaining to install is the wiper arms. Can someone give me some instructions on how to install these right the first time. I know how to "install" them, my concerns are of making sure they are in correct time with the motor and such... I'd rather not risk scratching the new paint playing the on and off game with the arms if I can help it.
thanks a lot,

I would cycle the wiper motor without the arms attached making sure that the motor "parks" do this by turning off the wiper & watching & listening that the motor continues running until it parks.

tape a drinking straw to the stud and see if they move like you want.

I am not sure what year Camaro you are talking about and whether it is a coupe or conv. but I just finished a 69 and found instructions in the AIM on page 27 UPC 1 A3. Center of rubber blade on a coupe should be 1.64 + or - .500 (LH) and 1.83 + or - .500(RH). These measurements are from the reveal molding. I measured and used masking tape on the windshield, Then I laid the wiper in the correct spot and snapped on the wiper to the trans. assy. Worked perfectly and only had to do one time without any scratches

why can't everything "bolt on" like that... that was way too easy. I could have swore that I read somewhere about a timing issue in installing the wiper arms... maybe it was referring to the hidden motor style.
