I have two tech questions on my 97 Z28. Hopefully someone on here can assist because I don't have the tools to figure it out myself but I would like to fix it myself.
1- My turn signal lights don't always flash when I use them; they stay "on". It's both directions but there isn't anything consistent that I can see as to why. The hazard lights always function correctly though.
2- My driver side window doesn't roll all the way up or down in one motion. It stops going either direction after a second or two, then I have to wait for a few seconds and push the button again.
I really hope someone on here can answer these. I'm thanking whoever in advance if so.

1. replace flasher. still doing it? find the bad bulbs, ther will be one on each side. when they flash at the same speed and all the lights work, your good, when one side flashes faster, you have less resistance on that side which means a bad bulb. if one side stays solid its usually the flasher, AKA too much resistance.
2. replace window switch. still does it? smell the door panel after you try to operate it. feel hot? smell like burnt wires? remove door panel and search for evidence of burnt wires or a bad window motor. could be a window relay...relays usually arent intermittent.
3. good luck.

In answer to your questions,
1) One of the turn signal bulbs is burned out. If one of the bulbs on either side front or back is out that side will not flash.Turn your turn signals on and look to see which one is not illuminated, replace that bulb and they should work.
2) The window motor on that side is going out causing it to work intermittently. You are going to need to replace that motor, they are about $50.00 from your local auto parts store.
Both of these issues are typical problems for the 4th gens, no biggie.

That is exactly what my driver side window was doing in my 1994 Z/28 a few years ago and I replaced the window motor and it solved the problem.

I have a 99 Z28 and a 99 Trans Am and both of the cars have had both of their window motors replaced. The windows are so big and heavy on these cars that they wear the motors out. The Seimons replacements I bought from my local Autozone for $50.00ea have lifetime replacements which I'm sure sooner or later I will get to use.
