Hello
Need help lowering 69 camaro 2 inches. Is drop spindles or coils the best way? Also what shocks would be recommended , I need a better ride and handling?

Welcome to Team Camaro Mike! One of the cool things here is all the info available using the search function. If you search "drop spindles", a ton of lowering threads will come up, providing hours of fun reading!

i know this is a well covered subject and alot of info is floating around here on this like eric said use the search i was in your boat on my 69 and found what i was looking for... just to be brief..i would steer away from drop spindles...stay with a good set of coils...there are many good name brands..for ex..hotchkis dse global west ect..some more pricier than others..i went with hotchkis front and back...made a huge difference in the handling and i love the stance..and surprisingly not too harsh and all i have are cheap shocks..

I have a SBC, Mike. I used Hotchkis 1.5" drop rear leafs. Like mentioned, search & read some threads so that you can ask more specific questions. You'll come across info that you never would have thought of...and will be better off for it! Oh, and welcome to TC!

I have a 67 with the Hotchkis TVS and would recommend it to anyone,BUT your last statement about ride and handling. The handling will be incredible...the ride and comfort of ride will go down noticeably. Not that a Camaro is a great riding car from the get-go...but lowering made it a rougher ride.

I too used the Hotchkis 1.5" rear leafs...but I wish it was down another inch or so in the rear...I think it needs to settle down,it still has very limited miles on it.Anyone use the DSE 2" or 3" drop leafs?

I have the DSE 3" drops. I love the stance, (rear wheel well is about a 1/2 inch above top of rear tire), but am still in the middle of restoration, so can't give you good feedback about the handling as tit's not on the road yet.

I went with Koni Classics, but Bilsteins are much loved amongst mebers here, too.

if you are thinking about bilstein, get the ones from hotchkis, they have a custom valving for hotchkis suspension.
