Do you have any other questions? Is the car still white with green top and interior, can you post pics so people can see? X44=Base model car Eric Kammerer Nov 30th, 07, 07:04 AM John - what's even weirder is that it looks like there's more of that same general combo from near the end of 69 production. Here's a thread on a car that's darn near a twin. http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=89425&highlight=dover+green+top My gut tells me that the green top was not real popular (looked at CRG for info but didn't see any), and maybe they were just trying to use them up at the end of production. It is not by far the weirdest combo we've seen, but it wouldn't seem to be popular for sure. 78MBA Nov 30th, 07, 07:13 AM Eric-what is the strangest combo you've heard of? The pics are gone of the green and white one do you have any and of the really strange color combo? Hylton Nov 30th, 07, 09:08 AM I think the worst on the 69 Camaros has to be the Hugger Orange exterior with the dark green interior. Eric Kammerer Nov 30th, 07, 09:41 AM That's the combo I was thinking of. John, I don't think I have ever seen a pic of any of these, because usually they have been changed in the 30 plus years since assembly. http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=101686&highlight=hugger+green http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=106243&highlight=hugger+green Hylton Nov 30th, 07, 09:59 AM There is an Orange/Green '69 somewhere on the net that is for sale. I just saw it last week. Hylton Nov 30th, 07, 10:04 AM Here it is: http://www.cars-on-line.com/30914.html 78MBA Nov 30th, 07, 11:21 AM I think it's cool lookin' but i'm an oddball anyway! Jonesy Nov 30th, 07, 12:19 PM green vinyl top is and was more popular than you think. I have seen alot of 59 S and 57 S color combos. c1run1 Nov 30th, 07, 04:36 PM The car has been changed alot , it's for sale , and needs alot of work , the guys asking 6,500.00 i have to travel 4 hours to it and i'm not sure i want to . all because of it's ugly colors. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t291/c1run1/1969camarox44003.jpg RamAirDave Nov 30th, 07, 06:11 PM I didnt see the car, but talked to a guy that has a Gold, brown vinyl top, white HS interior Z. kz1000ltd Nov 30th, 07, 06:28 PM Damn, 6500 for that mess? Good luck with that. Dayton68Z28 Nov 30th, 07, 06:39 PM That's quite a bit of cancer to have to fx Gary L Nov 30th, 07, 06:50 PM Wasn't there a weird combo an a Z/28 discussed recently that the owner wanted $200K because it was "rare"? Orange/green. BelAirBob Nov 30th, 07, 06:52 PM That's quite a bit of cancer to have to fx Yep....totally agree with you. Classic reason to re-body a car. If it looks that torn up on the exterior, the structural underpinnings are likely even worse. Z10396 Nov 30th, 07, 07:42 PM No always true. The quarter panels on my car were rotted off up to the top of the wheel well but the floors and underpinnings were in phenomenal shape. BelAirBob Nov 30th, 07, 07:45 PM Thats surprising. Good news, though. Its not too difficult to do fenders, doors, and even a quarter skin, but when you get into full trunks, rails, etc. it gets alot more involved. Microgiant Nov 30th, 07, 08:01 PM But cant you all see the sparkle on the bumper shinning at you saying, "buy me, buy me!" HAHAHA Mark Rossiter Dec 1st, 07, 05:40 PM Damn, 6500 for that mess? Good luck with that. It's the after market mirrors that jack up the price. :D al8apexer Dec 1st, 07, 07:52 PM Here it is: http://www.cars-on-line.com/30914.html sold! StrykerCamaro Dec 30th, 07, 08:44 PM How about the 67 Butternut yellow exterior with the Bright blue deluxe interior that was up on Evilbay a while back...trim tag was correct...that has got to be weird. |
