I recently pulled all my old carpet and wire wheeled all the rust from my floor pans. Did a little patching as well. I just got some POR15 to coat the pans. My question is I scraped a lot of the old rubber type sealer from the seams when I was cleaning up.... Should I re-seal the seams with this type of sealer or just use the POR15 and call it good????

I would personally reseal it, its best to put back the sealer, if it was sealed from the factory, there was a reason for it. 3M makes a good sealer you can pick up at any paint supply store, you can get the brush on or calking gun type. It really makes for a nice looking job to use the seam sealer.

The POR15 will flow into the seams and seal it better than the seam sealer will plus The POR15 won't bond to the sealer.

If the POR 15 doesn't stick to the sealer, does the sealer stick to the top of the POR 15?

The sealer will adhere just fine to the POR-15.

3M Ultapro Urathane seam sealer P/N -08361 is my coice of seam sealers. Being a urathane product it will outlast the seam sealer that "was" on our cars, plus it remains flexable (won't crack, or dry out).
