my headlights went out but my running lights work. All fuses look ok but the instrument panel is out too. Any suggestions on what i should check ?

High/Low beam switch on the floor was the culprit when this happened to me a few years ago. Simple fix and you can check the switch with a meter to be sure before buying a new one.

Did that effect your dash lights tho Joe?

Metal, are we dealing with one problem or 2?
Both happen at the same exact time?
Dash lights... you could just need to twist the knob?

Not sure, I can not remember. The dash knob has breaker in it that can be reset. If the high/low switch is bad and shorted could it be throwing the breaker? :confused:

I agree with Joe, the high beam switch on floor is a good starting point. I had same problem check for loose wire first or corrosion.
