How many fuel lines?
Front discs or drums?
10 or 12 bolt rear?

Thats some questions that would help determine it.

well its a 10 bolt in it right now, it looks like it came with front disc, and i think 2 fuel lines. the reason why i think is because the whole front clip is taken all apart. i bought the car for a good price but all apart

Check the codes on the rear and see if it is original or not. Mono or multi leaf rear springs?

Post the axle stamp code from the passenger side axle tube and the date code should line up with your cars build date.

Is original gas tank still in it? If so, drop it slowly and look for Broadcast Sheet... a paper listing all options it came with from the factory. LA cars are the only ones they were left in like that. If its there, you hit gold for knowing what it was born with. :)

another question, does the trim tag numbers and the vin numbers have to match up??

they dont match each other but they both should be in line with similar build weeks. CRG (www.camaros.org) has that info. on their site. Look in decoding info. there.

Your vin matches up ok, you car was built in January 69. Did you check the rear and under the gas tank? The only way to tell if the car was an SS, Z, etc is by decoding the original parts or finding that broadcast sheet. Check the rear, the trans just to be sure, post the numbers and we'll decode.

I'll check my rear end and under the gas tank as soon as that weird thing here in Southern Cali called "rain" goes away:D
