Thats a picture of my 67 after I got the engine in and together. ITs the best one I have from my phone. The front pulley system is Billet Specialties, the headers are summit ceramic coated, its been 5 months since its been taken the whole front clip is on now. It was looking nice till my wheel popped off because of cheap lug nuts that came with my spacers. It didnt hurt anything besides my original fender which sucks. Anyway the subframe is powdercoated and the firewall is por-15ed. The engine should have 550-600 hp.
What you guys think?

It's coming along!
I would like to see more when the clip is on.

Ah, glistening shiny metal - what a thing of beauty! - Noyce!
Question - what was it about the cheap lug nuts that went wrong?

Super! But spacers! I've not heard good things about them. In other words, they're a no-no as you found out.
But damn your car look good! A phone took that shot huh?!

Ya that was my new phone. They sent me spacers and sent chinese lug nuts with them i guess because nother American would have done that.
The lug nuts stripped out completely leaving no threads on the inside but didn't hurt the threads of the studs at all. I realized the problem and when I get the money torque thrusts are going on her. Thankfully my suspension is so stiff my front spring ratings are 565 lb/in that when she dropped she rolled on the rotor and was about a 1/4 from scrapping the frame because shes lowered too.

Nice car.
Do yourself a favor and put new lug studs. They are probably fatigued from the nut failures if your wheel wobbled.
Usually when the threads are pulled out of a nut it is a symptom of looseness. Occasionally from overtight, but that usually rears it's head up instantly. At least that's what I was taught in Failure Analysis school and The School of Hard Knocks. Idunno how many badass 3/4 and 7/8" Grade 8 engine anchor bolts on V-16's I've seen with the threads smooth gone in the nut from running loose.
Threads in a nut are softer than on a bolt. The nuts threads are cut, the bolts threads are forged or rolled.
It takes a hardened nut, looseness, and/or severe trauma and vibration(prolonged) to pull threads off a bolt(a good bolt that is...junk don't count:)). I don't think you'll find too many car lugnuts that are hardened. Hardened nuts are usually black as coal. F-350's have em. They break the lug studs smooth off when Ford doesn't tighten them good because the wheel sets up a wobble(25 miles down the road after doing your 100,000 mile brake job).:D. From the time you feel the wobble at 65MPH you have just enough time to get stopped before your wheels fly off.
