I'm perplexed on how to hook up my autometer hall effect VSS to my existing 91 Camaro VSS plug. My car was orignally an auto and I've swapped in a TKO600. The tranny kit I bought came with an autometer hall effect VSS pickup. The wires on that are red, clear, black. Red is 12v switched power, clear is signal and black is ground. My stock VSS harness / plug is one purple wire, one yellow. I'm planning on grounding purple or leaving purple open and attaching the clear pickup wire to the yellow. On my SGI-5 box I can see where this all goes.
What I did didn't work and I want to see how the rest of you guys used your stock speedometer.
