Hey Guys
I need to decode the following 69 firebird convertible to be sure it is what the actual seller say it is.
the numbers on the firewall plate are:
69 22367 NOR 504688
TR 207 52 A
06 A

It has a 400 engine and the seller say it is an original RAM IV car.
How to be sure??

Where is the engine serial number located? I couldnt find it.

Regards

David

If it was an original 400 car, then in the center of the bumper nose there should be the inverted pontiac arrow, only the 400 cars got those.

Luckily for you, you don't have to guess, just have a PHS pulled and you'll be guaranteed what it is.....or is not.

What PHS means Rick?
It has a 400 engine. Are all 400 firebirds RAM IV?

PHS = Pontiac Historical Society. You can get copies of the original paperwork from them for a fee. Well worth the money.
Not all 400 engines were RAIV.

The trim tag will tell you the sequence number for assembly, color of the car, build date, Assembly plant, Body style. It really wont tell you anything about what youre looking for. You will have to get the PHS paperwork mentioned above for those answers.

go here: http://www.phs-online.com

Wish we had one for Chevy's in the USA.

for 50$ they will tell you exactly what the car was, 400, RAIII or RA IV.

You can even get same day service via fax if you pay with a Credit Card.
