Found this on Forwardlook.net (50's Chrysler site) on making carpet fit better. Since Forward Look cars are not well supported by the aftermarket, we make do with what we can get. Case in point, aftermarket carpet usually fits poorly for our cars. Solution: Bags of wet sand!

Yeah works well..a local (NZ) uphoslter suggested it to me before I did mine..a 'trick of the trade' similar to a hair dryer when fitting seat covers and hood lining.
