Anyone know where you can find the metal seat backs for the 67 camaro. I can only seem to find the plastic ones for a 68 that are supposed to fit 67.

You'll have to find some good originals. They are not reproduced in metal.

RJG just for the record they began transitioning from metal to plastic seat backs in mid/late April to early May '67 according to CRG. So if your car was built after that the plastic ones may be correct if it matters to you.

Thanks MLL, I have one seat back and missing the other one. The one I have is metal so I would like to replace with a metal on eif I can, just seem hard to find.

There was a pair on eBay in the past week or so. They show up there from time to time.

Sorry RJG I bought that set. I have three sets of seats now because folks on ebay said they were for 67 and one even said steel backed. All three sets were plastic. Now have over $500 in seats for late 67 and 68. When done with car will probably ebay them, or store them for a few years and then sell.

Got a question about the plastic '68 seat backs. Over time, they have been scratched with some nasty scapes in them, The car has an ivory gold interior, but I had them painted/dyed? a darker green. Has anyone tried to use that plastic dye that "Classic" sells in the can, or should I leave this to the pro to handle? I do like to do as much as possible on my own.
