Are you repainting the car? If so, when you strip the car, you'll see the color. It was either black or white. My guess is white. I list a code for the white in my article.

The stripe is white...unless the car has a black vinyl top; then it's a black stripe.

Not all '67' RS's came with the stripe, correct?

The stripe, or the vinyl top, could have been dealer installed. It was the practice at the factory to use a white stripe on "FF" or "F6" coded cars, and the black stripe on "F2" codes.

I honestly feel my car came this way. It's an RS SS F2 June Build. It has the screwed-in "A" piller drip rails that the vinyl was behind (a good 1 1/2") When I got it, it was repainted. When I stripped it, I thought I was going to find black, but it, along with the pin stripe was definately white. I still have the front fender that was badly dented and you can see the ghosted white bumblee bee along with the pin stripe.
