My 69 Camaro's top needs a refresh. The back window was fogged up and I couldn't repair it, was too far gone. The condition of the top isn't bad but I'd like to get it all new.

My question is what about a glass window for the back? Anyone have one and are they a better option? I've seen plenty of the plastic windows that are all foggy and I'd like to prevent that in the long run especially when I'm investing in a new top. Just wondering if anything special needs to be done to fit in glass with the new roof.

I've heard the glass needs to be sewn in.

As long as you give your easily installed plastic window some tlc and not too much sun (at which time the sucker should be in the well anyway), you'll get several years + out of the plastic window.

Just my $.02

A lot of folks don't like the folding hinge seam necessary for glass in a first gen top. Depending on how you sit, it may block line of sight.

I've seen glass back window with hinge, not for me. I was planning on getting a plastic one and think you can get it with a zipper. ED
