Hey Guys, I may be getting close to having enough dough to buy the full interior kit for my 67 convertible, red by the way. All the catalogs seem to have a full kit, so who's is best and why. Also tell me about assembled door panels vs unassembled door panels. My car is complete now, it's just that everything is worn out. The top of the rear arm rests have sun damage and the carpet is getting very thin...... You know, all the usual stuff. So let's hear it. Who's "been there, done that"?

i got my kit from d&r classics. it looks like the original meaning in grain and texture. i bought the assembled door panels. i would guess unassembled you would have to glue the interior cloth to the cardboard. the carpeting is a little bit bigger so you lay it down and cut off extra on the sides.if you want pics i can get them for you.

I got mine from Ricks. but the general consensus is PUI made interiors are the best.

Is that what Rick's sells, or do you just have to ask when ordering? What are the major differences between PUI and the others?

A lot of retailers carry PUI. Thats what Ricks ships I didnt have to ask. However PUI does make a "Gold" version that you would have to specify if you want to upgrade to it. I sure wish I could see both side by side. My car will be driven some so I opted not to upgrade.
