Looking for a solution to the ever popular A pillar lower hole rot problem...
Anybody know where I can score some nice used ones?

Both sides are blown out on this 67 RS I just picked up. As far as I know, they are not being repopped just yet. Any leads or suggestions would be appreciated.

They're being repopped, but you'd need to find your way into a dynacorn warehouse in the middle of the night to get them. ;)

True, very true!...I was originally going to mention that I knew where I could get a set for $13,500,- with a body attached but thought that I'd be whining! :) :D

I am in your boat and it sucks. These pieces rot real easy, they sell everything BUT them.

They will probably be for sale in the not to far away future.

Check out the http://www.dynacorn.com website. They reproduce them, but you have to buy them through a DynaCorn retailer or distributor. You can search for one in your area from their website. I found this out by calling Mike's Customer Cars and asking about the ones for the Chevelle/LeMans/GTO/Cutlass/El Camino -- they're all the same -- and he told me the DynaCorn part number and even offered to get them and sell them to me for about $60 for the A-body Cutlass.

So Gary what your saying is you can buy every piece for the camaro as long as you go directly through them ?

Gary,

Thats ironic, because we are Dynacorn distributors!

I'll give them a call, but in the past, they always told us that some parts were deemed "proprietary",and would not be distributed separately, but only through the body program. One of those parts was the complete front cowl structure / "A" pillar assembly.

I'll see what they say know, though.

Thanks,

Bob

Yep, just as I thought....The "ask Joe" question and answer is exactly what we were told in the past. Proprietary parts that reduce liability for the manufacturer would not be offered separate from the body program.
